Many people still have physical photo albums passed down through generations. Some collections contain memories spanning decades of family history and baby photos that need to be digitized. Why do I need to digitize photos? You may ask. There are many reasons why it’s a good idea to start the long process of converting physical photos to Jpegs. It can be made safer, arguably more private, by making copies and backups, depending on where you store them, showing new generations that old photos are persistent, and making it easier to share photos online with relatives who may be overseas.
Unfortunately, an unexpected house fire or break-in can happen to anyone, so it's best to keep digital copies of your photos, preferably using a trusted cloud service, to protect them from physical damage or hard drive corruption. Depending on how extensive your photo album is, digitizing photos and videos can take months to years of mundane work. Fortunately, Aura has a better solution. And the mission of Aura is to connect people by bridging the gap between the physical and digital is taking a new approach with its latest in-app scanner. The idea is that users can scan physical photos with their smartphones and upload them into the digital Aura frame, an album shared with friends and family that makes it easier to show family members both old and newly captured images.
On iOS App Store, the rating of Aura Frames is 4.8 out of 5.0, with 6,500 user reviews. On Google Play, its rating is 4.8 out of 5.0, with 7,370 user reviews and more than 500,000 installs. Based on the above data, we can find that this app has relatively high scores and ranks high on Google Play.
This release contains many bug fixes and performance improvements. Of course, if you want to try out more new features, keep an eye on the app!
From the actual experience, it’s a powerful and useful app. As a digital photo frame with artificial intelligence to identify the quality of photo shooting, Aura can browse tens of millions of photos in mobile phones, mobile hard disks and other devices in a short period of time without human intervention, and then Pick out the photos it thinks look the best, and then automatically transfer the selected photos to the screen. More importantly, the app itself is set up well and is easy to use. I like the fact that I can upload photo albums and the app will automatically add any new pictures I add to said album. Overall, there are lots of neat touches in the app. Everything works flawlessly, though seeing newly posted images in the frame can be delayed if adding a lot of photos at once.
Pros
1. The app works pretty well for adding photos from your phone.
2. The app itself is set up well and is easy to use.
3. Allow users instantly upload photos to their frame or to multiple frames at one time.
4. Setting a timer for how long a picture is displayed is cool as well as being to advance, or reverse, pictures by swiping the bar on top.
5. Being able to have it turn off automatically is a great feature.
6. It was super easy to set up and add photos.
Cons
Aura’s default arrangement isn’t always so intelligent.
