Coin Master is a free, single-player, casual mobile game created by Israeli studio Moon Active. In this iOS/Android app players spin slot machines to win coins. It has taken the world by storm since it was released in Dec 2010 and reached over 100 million downloads. It is very popular on social media especially on Facebook. 

In total, 6,489,996 reviews are found in Google play store with 4.5 stars rating. There has been 100,000,000+ installs and the most recent update is December 26, 2021. While in Apple app store Coin Master is ranked No. 4 in Adventure category with 4.7 stars rating by 425.1K users. The app is rated as 17+ on Apple iOS App store and “Teen” in Google Play store due to there is “Frequent/Intense Simulated Gambling”.

Coin Master players spin virtual slot machines to win coins, shields and weapons, subsequently they can attack and raid villages and build their own. The game character can travel through time and magical lands while playing.  The application makes use of Facebook to connect players with others  and encourage more to join the fun.

The coins collected from playing the slot machine allow players to build and upgrade village, which helps you to climb up the leaderboard. Players can attack and raid others for more coins by digging up buried treasure in their village. Please note that the cartoonish graphics aren’t violent or bloody in nature when “raiding” the village.

The app is designed to encourage prolonged game playing by giving free 5 spins each hour if players choose to stay on. Coin Master hooks you in through its energy system, through battering you with push notifications and in-game pop-ups and constant events. There are a lot of reviews online to urge parent to ban this game as it encourages gambling for children. Furthermore, parents also need to monitor time spent and in app purchases with this game.
